Deputy Coordinator for SAARC Regional Committee, Jurmey Choden Rinzin is a final year student of Political Science and Sociology at the Royal Thimphu College in Bhutan. She is an active youth volunteer and advocates for many important issues such as menstrual health and animal rights. She is also a singer at M-Studio Bhutan and uses her music to advocate for messages such as financial literacy and gender equality. She has received multiple scholarships and awards for her academic excellence and her other efforts towards enhancing youth engagement including an award from His Majesty The King of Bhutan. She has organized many youth events and even worked at many media channels in Bhutan. Other than advocacy, she is an artist who enjoys music, art and literature. She also enjoys researching. She has travelled to over 23 countries and enjoys learning about new cultures. She is also a polyglot and is currently learning her seventh language. Jurmey is also active in Model United Nations and has served in the executive board for committees multiple times.
