Peru Country Coordinator, Celeste Rolando is a young politician, lawyer, feminist and human rights defender. She is the founder of the Global Union for Democracy, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promote democratic processes in the world. Her work has mainly focused on empowering women in Peru and in Latin America. She acted as a Director of “Empodérate Mujer”. Likewise, she is a member of the Committee of Women Leaders of the Americas, and Ambassador of the Network of Women Entrepreneurs Peace builders in Latin America. She has also been involved in politics as a Young Parliamentarian and as a Candidate for Congress of the Republic of Peru. In 2019 she won the International Award “The Best” organized by the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of Argentina.
