
Mongolia Country Coordinator BALJINNYAM Chinzorigt (BALJAA) believes and support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030 Agenda, and try to contribute through her work and programs promoting lifelong learning opportunities, inclusive and quality education for youth, full and productive employment, decent work for youth; good health and wellbeing at the workplace, and support strengthening the global partnership for sustainable development.
Baljaa lived in the USA for over 10 years, completed her MBA in International Business and BA in International Studies from Lindenwood University, Missouri, USA. She worked in the USA for over 6 years including 2 years at Rio Tinto’s Kennecott Utah Copper in Utah (2012-2014), and 4 years at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) – an international research organization in Washington, DC (2008-2012).After returning to Mongolia in 2014, she worked at OyuTolgoi LLC, Mongolia’s largest copper and gold mining company, and from 2016-2018 she worked for Business Council of Mongolia (BCM), the largest community of investors and leading businesses in Mongolia.
Baljaa is a Participant of Russia’s “New Generation” program aimed at the development of international youth cooperation in Moscow, Russia; Participant of UNDP Activated 2030 Youth Project and Enterprising Adventure to turn your ideas into action with UNDP Mongolia; Participant of the Academy on Transition to Formal Economy organized by the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC/ILO) International Labour Organization in Turin, Italy in 2018. She has recently been appointed as a GYP Country Coordinator for Mongolia for two years through her organization, Young Mongolian Professionals Association.
Currently, Baljaa is serving as the Director of Foreign Relations and Cooperation Department of the Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF), the nationwide organization that plays an important role on developing cooperated activities with other Employers’ organizations at the International Level and decision making process at the National Tripartite Committee. She is a Founder and Director of “YMPA”-Young Mongolian Professionals Association, and Chairman of Youth Employers Association. She leads Bfit Mongolia, a holistic health & wellness program to balance Mind-Body-Spirit as well as work-life balance.
