Introduction:

Applications are now open for “2nd South Asian Youth Conference 2019” which will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 18th, 19th and 20th September, 2019 on the occasion of that conference Global Youth Parliament and Global Law Thinkers Society, Bangladesh will go to reward “South Asian Youth Leadership Award 2019”, to those who contributes, acknowledges and celebrates outstanding contribution in the sector of youth, peace SDGs and Democracy.

For the last few years, Global Youth Parliament has been honoring dynamic personalities from the diverse field with Award. With clear instruction and selection procedures, the Award has been given to the individuals that have contributed immensely in their respective countries and societies politically, socially or economically. With a strict set of rules and guidelines, GYP and GLTS declare the awardees after receiving recommendations from the selection committee. It is world’s premier award and the award is presented to them in award session of “2nd South Asian Youth Conference 2019” on 20 September.

“2nd South Asian Youth Conference 2019” aims to gather young leaders, innovators, peacemakers, youth activists and civil society pioneers from around the South Asian region in a single forum to share their contributions, experiences, and knowledge on pertinent regional as well as global issues.

“2nd South Asian Youth Conference 2019” is more than a conference. It’s the platform for young leaders from around the South Asian region to share and learn about the best practices through mutual learning on ideas and initiatives of advocacy tools to achieve sustainable development goals from the youth perspective and encourage youth to lobby them in their own respective governments.

Objective:
The objective of this conference and award  are:

I.     To inspire individuals from around the South Asian region and recognize their contribution that has added value to the creative endeavors in serving humanity.

II.   To create a common platform to empower the youth network within the South Asian Region.

III. To Emphasize to revitalize South Asian as a Strong regional organization.

IV.  To Revitalize South Asian integration via youth Participation for SDG.

V.    To motivate young people to be a good leader in their respective country.

Selection Criteria:
An autonomous selection committee formed by Global Youth Parliament and Global Law Thinkers Society, Bangladesh decides the awardees based upon the application and by also conducting its own external research and recommendations.
The award committee decision is taken as the final decision for the selection.

Eligibility:
1. The nominee must have been engaged in any entrepreneurship and social work.
2. The nominee must be a confirmed delegate of “2nd South Asian Youth Conference 2019”.
3. Global Youth Parliament and Global Law Thinkers Society, Bangladesh want to highly encourage those who have ideas for new projects and initiatives in addition to those who are already leading them.
4. The most important criteria are interesting in the facilitation of debate and development of resolutions on the best way forward to achieve SDGs and a commitment to act.
5. The nominee must have a strong commitment and determination to work with Global Youth Parliament and Global Law Thinkers Society, Bangladesh in the future.

Age Barrier:

There is no age barrier to receive an award. Anyone can be eligible to receive the award.

Award:
This award is a global recognition for the noble work. Hence, the award consists of Maiden as well as a certificate. This award is a token of appreciation for the selfless dedication of individuals in making a positive change in their communities. It is our way of expressing THANK YOU for the great deeds.

Delegation fee includes:
• Accommodation during the nights of the conference (shared room)
• Participation fee that covers registration and all meals
• Stationary and other educational materials including some publications
• Internal travel within Dhaka during the conference

Please note that your application fee will not cover your flight to Dhaka and back. It does cover your pick-up from the nearest airport in Dhaka (Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport) and your return to the same airport. Your application fee will not cover your visa fee, insurance, or any other incidental expenses.

VISA
An international applicant is responsible for obtaining their own visa to travel to Bangladesh. Contact the nearest Bangladesh Embassy or Consulate to find out how. Acceptance to The “2nd South Asian Youth Conference 2019” does NOT guarantee the issuance of a visa or admission into Bangladesh. Admission into Bangladesh is contingent on Bangladesh Immigration Authorities’ discretion at the point-of-entry.

Fee
Conference fee $300
Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Note: Fee will cover all your food, accommodation, and local transportation during the conference and if you are interested to go city tour on 21st September then you have to pay extra $100 USD.

Plenary session provides knowledge and ideas from the speakers with topics such as We the Global Goals(SDGs), Youth and Climate Action, Youth, Peace and Democracy, Youth Entrepreneurship and Cultural Session. The participants will also be able to discuss the said topics with the speakers; it’s basically where you can connect your minds and exchange ideas.
